Our Mission
Undiagnosed Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias are a big problem in Georgia and around the country. Over 300,000 Georgians have noticed symptoms of memory loss, but haven’t talked about it with a Primary Care Provider.
Without proper diagnosis, people with dementia often don't get appropriate treatment, or they end up in the emergency room for avoidable reasons. It is a major burden on individuals, families, and even Georgia taxpayers.

- To improve screening for memory loss.
We recommend all Georgians over 65 take advantage of their free Annual Wellness Visit, which includes a simple screening for memory loss and cognitive decline. - To establish diagnostic clinics around the state.
We've opened five Memory Assessment Clinics around the state that can accurately diagnose Alzheimer's in person or via telemedicine. After diagnosis, we connect patients and care partners with support organizations in their area. - To collect data on Alzheimer’s in Georgia.
The more we learn, the better we can be at diagnosing and treating Alzheimer’s. We collect data for the Alzheimer's Registry in the Georgia Department of Public Health to increase our knowledge of this disease and move towards better treatment, connectivity and an eventual cure.
