Where did you grow up?
I moved a lot with the military, but spent a lot of my early years in Tennessee. -
What is your role within Georgia Memory Net?
I support communications and marketing efforts. -
How long have you been a part of Georgia Memory Net?
I began working with GMN less than a year ago. -
What is your favorite thing about working with Georgia Memory Net?
I love being a part of a program that provides needed resources and care for Alzheimer’s and related disorders to Georgians. -
What inspired you to go into this field and join Georgia Memory Net?
Communication has always interested me, and serves as the foundation for people working together. After spending time doing advertising and marketing for small and medium businesses, I made the transition to Alzheimer’s disease research and recruitment at Emory. Since then, I’ve been able to start supporting Georgia Memory Net’s communication efforts. -
If you could do any other job, what would it be?
Owning a machine shop. -
Do you have any pets?
I have an 11-year old cat. She’s been all over the southeast and even moved to Germany with me. -
What is your hidden talent?
I can clear a room when singing karaoke. -
What is your favorite movie and why?
Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. -
If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
Outrageous Orange. -
This has been a crazy few weeks, any advice for staying happy and healthy while sheltering in place?
Be sure to read, it stimulates your mind and is good for your brain! I recommend varying your activities so you don’t burn yourself out. A simply checklist with a few activities for the day can help a lot. Also, take advantage of video call tools like FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, etc. to stay in touch with family and friends.
